KOINONIA (Dining Room)

In Koinonia we gather to commune with each other, and to share a meal. Featuring a picture of The Last Supper, we are reminded of how Jesus invited His disciples to eat with Him.

Koinonia: Greek for 'communication' or 'community'.

Koinonia, Greek for “community” or “communication,” is where we gather to break bread and share in fellowship. Dominating the space is a depiction of The Last Supper, reminding us of how Jesus intentionally invited His disciples to join Him in communion. Every meal here becomes more than nourishment—it becomes an invitation to participate in spiritual communion, to connect deeply with both God and one another.
At Koinonia, food is transformed into fellowship. Conversations flow, friendships deepen, and moments of laughter and encouragement remind us of the beauty of shared life. Here, the act of breaking bread is a reflection of God’s desire to draw us together, cultivating a space of warmth, belonging, and mutual encouragement.

We also recognise the spiritual significance of meals as teaching moments. Each gathering invites participants to contemplate the sacrificial love of Christ, His presence in our lives, and the joy of living in authentic community. Koinonia is more than a dining room—it’s a living illustration of God’s call for His people to live in unity and love.

For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when He was betrayed took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way also He took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
– 1 Corinthians 11:23-25 ESV

My time at in Harmonie was an absolute feast in the presence of our Father. The time of silence and solitude brought deep rest to my soul.
